Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, setting up temporary fencing, and ensuring the work area is safe and organized.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor.
- Crew Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople by fetching tools, mixing cement, holding materials, and performing basic measurements.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and debris-free job site at the end of each shift to comply with OSHA safety regulations.
- Basic Tool Operation: Operate basic power tools and hand tools under supervision to assist with framing, drywall hanging, or painting tasks.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and working in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction, general labor, or landscaping is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required for transport of materials.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with foremen and team members.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure safety standards and project specifications are met.
