Responsibilities
- Site Support: Assist carpenters, electricians, and other skilled tradespeople with daily tasks and project requirements.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment on-site and from trucks.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by clearing debris, marking areas, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic power tools and hand tools safely and effectively under supervision.
- Task Execution: Perform general labor tasks such as digging, carrying, and assembling components as directed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Driver’s License: Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation to Oakland job sites.
- Communication: Ability to follow instructions clearly and communicate effectively with the crew.
- Tools: Basic familiarity with construction tools is a plus.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including weekends or evenings as needed.
