Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment to designated areas safely.
- General Labor: Perform a variety of manual tasks including mixing concrete, carrying lumber, and assisting skilled tradespeople.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic machinery and power tools under supervision (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers).
- Site Maintenance: Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with team leads and fellow workers to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (50+ lbs).
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not strictly required.
- Tools: Basic understanding of construction safety protocols and the ability to use basic hand tools.
- Transportation: Reliable personal transportation to and from the job site.
- Documentation: Valid ID and eligibility to work in the United States.
