Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and skilled trades with material handling, site preparation, and cleanup
- Operate hand/power tools safely under supervisor guidance (e.g., saws, drills, levels)
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment efficiently
- Maintain organized and hazard-free job sites per OSHA standards
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and project specifications
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the US
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety protocols
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, humidity, rain)
- Strong physical stamina and ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Reliable transportation to job sites across San Antonio
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 certification (company-provided)
