Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Support senior technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures.
- Site Preparation: Set up work areas, prepare materials, and ensure job sites are clean, organized, and safe per OSHA standards.
- Tool Management: Properly handle, load, and unload tools and equipment from company vehicles and job sites.
- Basic Troubleshooting: Perform routine testing and inspection of electrical components under supervision to identify faults.
- Documentation: Help complete necessary paperwork, including time logs and material inventory lists.
- Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with clients and homeowners to answer basic questions regarding ongoing work.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, climb ladders, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; technical certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Attitude: Strong willingness to learn, excellent work ethic, and a commitment to safety.
- Availability: Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends or evenings as needed.
