Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as stripping wire, connecting outlets, and mounting fixtures.
- Ensure all work strictly complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to OSHA safety standards at all times.
- Transport tools and materials to and from job sites efficiently and safely.
- Document work completed accurately and report any potential safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- No formal experience required; on-the-job training provided.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within NY and PA.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and climb ladders.
- Basic understanding of mathematics and strong reading comprehension skills.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work on your feet for extended periods.
