Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine the layout and wiring of electrical systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system safety and functionality.
- Isolate electrical circuits using lockout/tagout procedures to ensure worker safety.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion.
- Provide clear explanations to customers regarding electrical issues and proposed solutions.
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman Electrician license (North Carolina) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in residential or commercial electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, circuitry, and power distribution.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and voltage detectors.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or job-site setting.
