Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial electrical systems, including lighting, outlets, and wiring.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan installations.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and organized in accordance with OSHA safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project timelines and requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of job sites and material handling as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician License in Virginia.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in residential or commercial electrical work.
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, circuitry, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
