Responsibilities
- Diagnose and Repair: Perform accurate diagnosis and repair of plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and pipe bursts.
- Installations: Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances such as water heaters and faucets.
- Read Plans: Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the layout of water supply, drainage, and venting systems.
- Compliance: Ensure all work meets local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations.
- Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide clear explanations of repairs.
- Tool Maintenance: Maintain and clean plumbing tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid Journeyman or Master Plumber license in the District of Columbia.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional plumbing experience in residential and commercial settings.
- Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints and using various hand and power tools.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in tight spaces, and stand for extended periods.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
