Responsibilities
- Perform basic plumbing tasks: Assist in diagnosing and repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and installing piping systems under supervision.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with customers in a professional manner, explaining issues and providing estimates for repairs.
- Tool Management: Maintain, clean, and organize tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency on the job site.
- Reading Blueprints: Learn to read and interpret basic plumbing blueprints and technical drawings.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by laying out materials and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Material Handling: Transport, unload, and accurately measure plumbing materials such as pipes, fittings, and valves.
Qualifications
- Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to learn a trade and a positive attitude towards mentorship.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform basic calculations for measurements and material estimates.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- High School Diploma: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
