Responsibilities
- Install and Repair: Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures using hand and power tools.
- System Maintenance: Locate and diagnose leaks or other plumbing problems and determine the best way to repair them.
- Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues and provide solutions; ensure a clean workspace.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of pipes, fixtures, and equipment.
- Tool Management: Maintain and check plumbing tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all work complies with local and state plumbing codes and regulations.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in various weather conditions.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated individual willing to learn new skills and follow instructions.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergency call-outs.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred (equivalent experience considered).
