Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum-classical hybrid algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error mitigation protocols for near-term quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum neural networks
- Author peer-reviewed research for Nature Physics/Science journals
- Architect quantum machine learning frameworks for enterprise applications
- Secure $5M+ in federal R&D grants through DARPA/NSF proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum algorithm development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Expertise in machine learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum information
- Proficiency in high-performance computing (CUDA/HPC)
- Experience with quantum hardware calibration protocols
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Strong background in topological quantum error correction
