Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world optimization problems
- Collaborate with physicists to translate theoretical models into executable quantum circuits
- Optimize quantum algorithms for specific hardware architectures (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Lead research on quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols
- Document findings in peer-reviewed publications and technical whitepapers
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing fundamentals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's with exceptional experience)
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proficiency in linear algebra and quantum mechanics principles
- Published research in quantum computing or theoretical computer science
- Expertise in Python and high-performance computing paradigms
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (AWS Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex optimization problems
- Strong analytical thinking and collaborative research skills
