Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting and photonic qubit technologies
- Develop error-correction protocols achieving 99.9% qubit fidelity
- Create hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for real-world industry applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through compelling technical roadmaps
- Establish industry partnerships with quantum hardware manufacturers
- Patent at least 3 novel quantum computing methodologies annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum error correction
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of leading quantum hardware integration projects
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and NISQ limitations
- Certification in cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, AWS Braket)
- Experience securing DARPA or NSF quantum computing grants
