Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using topological qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum processors with classical high-performance computing infrastructure
- Develop quantum error correction protocols achieving >99.9% fidelity thresholds
- Research and prototype novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to define quantum chip specifications and fabrication requirements
- Create quantum security frameworks for post-quantum cryptography implementations
- Present breakthrough research at international quantum computing conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing architecture or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (e.g., surface codes, color codes)
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals or conferences
- Deep understanding of superconducting, photonic, or trapped-ion qubit technologies
- Experience leading technical projects with $1M+ budgets and cross-disciplinary teams
