Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum circuits and hybrid quantum-classical architectures
- Develop error-correction protocols for qubit coherence beyond 10^9 operations
- Lead implementation of quantum-resistant cryptographic systems
- Optimize quantum algorithms for pharmaceutical discovery and climate modeling
- Collaborate with hardware teams on cryogenic control systems and photonic interconnects
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum algorithm development
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NSF quantum computing grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with 8+ years experience)
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum error correction
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, and Q# programming frameworks
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems and ion-trap processors
- Deep understanding of Shor's algorithm and Grover's optimization
