Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures for commercial applications
- Develop quantum algorithms to solve complex optimization problems in finance, logistics, and AI
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge quantum software and physical qubit systems
- Create fault-tolerant quantum error correction protocols for enterprise deployments
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives for quantum machine learning frameworks
- Contribute to open-source quantum software libraries and industry standards
- Mentor junior quantum engineers and publish research in top-tier journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years experience in quantum algorithm design or quantum software development
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical languages (Python, C++)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing principles
- Published research in quantum computing or demonstrated industry impact
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and computational complexity theory
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into practical business solutions
