Responsibilities
- Design and prototype quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Architect hybrid classical-quantum computing systems with 10,000+ qubit scalability
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to overcome quantum decoherence challenges
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum operations
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating quantum solutions to enterprise applications
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Mentor junior quantum engineers in emerging quantum programming paradigms
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 3+ years experience in quantum algorithm development or quantum computing architecture
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Ability to communicate complex quantum concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
