Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting and topological qubit systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum circuits
- Optimize quantum algorithms for commercial applications in machine learning and cryptography
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence times and gate fidelities
- Lead quantum software integration with classical high-performance computing environments
- Research and implement novel quantum communication protocols for secure data transmission
- Mentor junior quantum engineers and publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and algorithm development
- Proven track record in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant system design
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware architectures including superconducting qubits
- Experience with high-performance computing frameworks (HPC) and quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals or conferences
- Strong analytical skills for complex system optimization and performance benchmarking
- Ability to obtain DoD security clearance for classified quantum projects
