Job Description
Join Nexus Labs at the forefront of technological evolution as we pioneer quantum solutions for 2026. We're seeking a visionary Quantum Computing Architect to design next-gen systems that will redefine computational boundaries. This role demands a blend of deep technical expertise and strategic foresight to transform theoretical quantum principles into scalable, real-world applications. You'll collaborate with Nobel laureates, lead cross-functional R&D teams, and contribute to patents that will shape the next decade of innovation. Our Austin hub offers unparalleled resources, including a 50-qubit quantum processor and partnerships with MIT and Caltech. This is more than a role – it's your chance to architect the future.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum algorithms for 2026-scale problems
- Lead integration of quantum-classical hybrid systems in enterprise environments
- Develop error-correction frameworks for >1000-qubit processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum chip architectures
- Present quantum roadmaps to C-suite executives and government agencies
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Drive open-source contributions to quantum programming frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years developing quantum algorithms or quantum hardware systems
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming languages
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum platforms
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proven track record of scaling quantum systems beyond 50 qubits
