Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical 2026-era applications
- Lead 15-person quantum research team across Austin and Zurich facilities
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Secure $2M+ annual research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Publish quarterly breakthrough findings in Nature Physics and Science
- Advise C-suite on quantum strategy for 2026 product roadmap
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum cryptography
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Track record of securing government research grants
- Expertise in topological quantum computing approaches
