In our state-of-the-art Austin R&D hub, you'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and quantum pioneers to develop scalable quantum algorithms, optimize error-correction protocols, and define the roadmap for post-quantum cryptography. You'll lead cross-functional teams tackling challenges in quantum machine learning, quantum simulation, and quantum-resistant blockchain systems.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement novel quantum algorithms for enterprise-scale optimization problems
- Lead research in fault-tolerant quantum computing systems and error mitigation techniques
- Develop strategic roadmaps for quantum adoption in finance, logistics, and pharmaceuticals
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Secure multi-million dollar research grants and publish breakthrough papers in Nature/Science
- Mentor next-generation quantum engineers through our 2026 Fellowship Program
- Define industry standards for quantum security protocols and ethical AI integration
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computational Mathematics with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature Quantum, PRL)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit optimization
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerance architectures
- Experience securing DoD/NASA quantum research grants ($500K+ projects)
- Strong background in post-quantum cryptography lattice-based systems
- Exceptional ability to translate complex quantum concepts for C-suite stakeholders
