Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead research teams in developing novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at major conferences
- Secure $5M+ in annual R&D funding through grant applications
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 5+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or top-tier conferences
- Expertise in quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Proven track record of securing government/private research grants
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams
