Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in designing quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Architect error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Develop proprietary quantum software frameworks compatible with our hardware stack
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research grants annually
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics/Science journals
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive quantum talent pipeline development
- Partner with Fortune 500 clients to implement quantum solutions in logistics, finance, and pharma
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of quantum research
- Published author in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 5 peer-reviewed papers)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Proven track record of securing government research grants (NSF, DoE, DARPA)
- Hands-on experience with quantum hardware platforms (Rigetti, IBM Quantum, D-Wave)
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering and quantum control systems
- Experience commercializing quantum technologies through patents or startup ventures
