Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for 2026-era applications in cryptography, molecular modeling, and machine learning
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures on superconducting platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into commercial products
- Secure $2M+ annual research funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish findings in Nature/Science journals
- Develop quantum-safe security protocols for enterprise clients
- Drive partnerships with IBM, Google Quantum, and academic institutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, PRL, etc.)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience leading teams of 10+ researchers in high-stakes environments
- Patents or commercial deployments of quantum technologies
- Strong background in AI/ML integration with quantum systems
