Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical applications in cryptography and optimization
- Design and execute research roadmaps targeting quantum advantage by 2026
- Mentor cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Secure external funding through NSF grants and industry partnerships
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at quantum conferences
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum security standards
- Develop quantum software frameworks for enterprise adoption
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum computing research experience with published papers
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Track record of securing research funding ($500K+ preferred)
- Experience leading technical teams in R&D environments
