Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for commercial applications in drug discovery and financial modeling
- Design scalable quantum architectures compatible with classical computing infrastructure
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and industry conferences
- Mentor a multidisciplinary team of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA partnerships
- Develop quantum-resistant cybersecurity protocols for enterprise clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum hardware (IBM, Google, or IonQ)
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Experience leading R&D teams with >10 members
- Active Q# or Qiskit certification required
