Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization
- Lead a cross-functional team of 12+ quantum physicists and software engineers
- Collaborate with government agencies on national security quantum initiatives
- Develop error-correction frameworks for scalable quantum systems
- Present breakthrough findings at premier conferences (IEEE Quantum Week, etc.)
- Secure $5M+ in annual R&D funding through NIH and NSF grants
- Drive commercialization of quantum solutions for Fortune 500 partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proven track record leading multi-million dollar research projects
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum systems
- Clearance for DoD quantum security initiatives (preferred)
