Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography, optimization, and simulation
- Lead a team of 8+ quantum physicists and software engineers in prototyping breakthrough systems
- Collaborate with NASA, IBM, and academic institutions on quantum supremacy initiatives
- Develop error-correction frameworks enabling fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Quantum conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum algorithms or hardware
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Proven track record of leading quantum computing projects with measurable outcomes
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience securing federal research grants ($1M+ preferred)
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
