Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error-corrected qubit systems
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI/ML and cryptography teams
- Secure government grants and industry partnerships for quantum initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and drive open-source quantum projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong publication record in quantum information science
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with quantum hardware (superconducting, trapped ion, photonic)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mathematical rigor
