Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Lead quantum hardware-software integration projects with cryogenic systems and photonic processors
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum principles and practical implementation strategies
- Secure $2M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private sector partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and circuit optimization
- Published record in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing applications
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance methodologies
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in complex mathematical modeling and high-performance computing
- US citizenship required for government contract compliance
