Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and molecular simulation
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Author peer-reviewed publications for Nature Physics and IEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize qubit coherence times and gate fidelities
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory foundations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years of postdoctoral research
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, Physical Review X)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and circuit optimization
- Experience with quantum annealing systems (D-Wave) or superconducting qubits
- Strong background in quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
- Proven track record of securing government or industry research funding
- Ability to communicate complex quantum concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
