Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems in finance and logistics
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computation
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into practical quantum applications
- Author white papers and patents for proprietary quantum methodologies
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Mentor junior researchers and publish quarterly breakthroughs in Nature Physics
- Represent the company at global quantum computing summits and industry forums
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years post-doctoral research
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and circuit optimization
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or equivalent high-impact publications
- Proficiency with quantum simulators and HPC environments (AWS Braket, IBM Quantum)
- Demonstrated experience with topological quantum computing or superconducting qubits
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory with practical implementation skills
- Ability to secure government grants (NSF, DOE) and manage multi-million dollar research budgets
