Responsibilities
- Lead algorithm development for quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Design hybrid quantum-classical computing architectures for 2026 deployment
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Secure $1M+ in NSF and DoD quantum computing grants annually
- Mentor a team of 5+ quantum engineers and PhD researchers
- Publish top-tier papers in Nature Quantum and IEEE journals
- Develop patentable quantum machine learning frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum annealers or superconducting qubits
- Published research in quantum algorithms or error correction (h-index >15)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization tools
- Proven track record of securing federal quantum research funding
- Deep understanding of topological quantum computing models
