Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction techniques to enhance quantum system stability
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Lead cross-functional research projects focusing on quantum machine learning applications
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure research funding through grant proposals and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to technical documentation
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, probability, and quantum mechanics
- Proven track record of published quantum computing research
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
