Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop quantum error correction protocols
- Translate theoretical quantum models into practical hardware implementations
- Author peer-reviewed publications and secure patents in quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Mentor junior researchers and publish quarterly breakthrough reports
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proficiency with quantum circuit simulation and optimization frameworks
- Demonstrated experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Ability to secure federal research grants (NSF/DOE preferred)
