Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware interfaces
- Secure research funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop quantum-machine learning frameworks
- Present findings at international conferences including Q2B and IEEE Quantum Week
- Contribute to open-source quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in at least one classical high-performance computing framework
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and mitigation strategies
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
