Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize algorithms for next-gen quantum processors
- Create hybrid quantum-classical solutions for real-world industrial problems
- Lead research publications in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Secure research funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane)
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Publication record in quantum computing or high-energy physics
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfaces
- Demonstrated experience with quantum simulation software (QASM, Q#)
- Security clearance eligibility for government-funded projects
