Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in AI optimization and molecular modeling
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum processors with 100+ qubit capabilities
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Secure research funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and drive cross-functional innovation initiatives
- Develop strategic roadmaps for quantum computing adoption in enterprise environments
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit optimization
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature, Science, or IEEE journals
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error correction methodologies
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into actionable business strategies
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government-funded projects
