Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead quantum error mitigation strategies for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence times
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $2M+ in quantum computing grants annually
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or ion traps
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or custom quantum simulators
- Published record in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence
- Expertise in Python/C++ for quantum algorithm development
- Clearance for DOE quantum security protocols preferred
