Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional projects with machine learning and cryptography teams
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and interns in quantum principles
- Secure grant funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Published research in quantum algorithms or hardware
- Experience with quantum simulation software (Qiskit Aer, Quil)
- Knowledge of quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC)
