Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors at 100+ qubit scales
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI/ML teams for hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Secure $500K+ in NSF/DARPA grants for cutting-edge quantum research
- Mentor PhD interns from UT Austin and MIT quantum programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological qubit architectures
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and high-performance computing
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum hardware
- Strong background in quantum information theory and complexity classes
