Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants through NIH/NSF proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum error correction
- Develop patentable quantum machine learning frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2019-2023 graduates encouraged)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum simulators (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit design
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Strong background in complexity theory and computational mathematics
