Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in machine learning and cryptography
- Lead experimental validation of qubit coherence techniques using superconducting platforms
- Develop error mitigation protocols for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on quantum control system integration
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $1M+ in DARPA/NSF quantum computing grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and gate-based quantum computing frameworks
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming toolkits
- Published record in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with cryogenic measurement systems and dilution refrigerators
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills for quantum simulation
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental protocols
- Preferred: Background in topological quantum computing or quantum machine learning
