Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence times
- Lead quantum error correction research initiatives
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning models
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at industry conferences
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum theory and experimental methods
- Secure external funding through grant proposals and partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Publication record in quantum computing or quantum information
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Ability to translate complex concepts into practical applications
