Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental research on quantum error correction protocols using topological qubits
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise-scale deployments
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum processors
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science and present at premier quantum conferences
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and contribute to our quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum information theory
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and low-level control systems
- Published work in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals or top-tier conferences
- Deep understanding of decoherence mechanisms and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Ability to secure DOE/NASA quantum research grants preferred
