Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and cryptography
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure research funding through government grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to open-source quantum frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience with superconducting or photonic systems
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical HPC frameworks
- Published record in quantum information science or top-tier computer science venues
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and decoherence mitigation
- Experience with quantum simulation tools (QuTiP, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical physics
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
