Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum architectures
- Publish research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure government and private research grants
- Train next-generation quantum engineers through mentorship
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Demonstrated publication record in quantum information science
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Ability to secure federal research funding (NSF/DOE/DARPA)
