Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for NISQ-era hardware
- Lead quantum error correction protocol development and testing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD interns and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $1M+ in NSF/DARPA research grants annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC)
- Strong background in linear algebra and computational complexity
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
