Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel quantum algorithms for practical industry applications
- Lead quantum hardware integration projects with superconducting and photonic systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning models
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and oversee quantum simulation experiments
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature Quantum, PRL)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure and manage large-scale research funding
- Experience mentoring graduate researchers and leading cross-functional teams
